Classic VW's need lots of love and attention! Dubtricks are air cooled specialists and if it wasn't for them, Ocho would not be with us any more! See what else they are up to...
Thanks for visiting us!
Congratulations Rachel & Chris!
Well, we started the year with a cold one! Rachel and her bridesmaids braved the cold though, all looking amazing. Sadly we didn't get any snaps as nobody hung around outside for too long.... except Ocho that is who waited patiently outside in the snow for the newly weds! Congratulations Rachel and Chris, it was one to remember!
Congratulations Jodie & James!
It was all about the personal touches with Jodie and James' wedding transport. We loved the home made bunting and the personalised plate! What a chilled out couple too! A little rain here and there couldn't wash their smiles away. Congratulations to you both and best of luck for the future.
Congratulations Angie & Craig!
Red carpet treatment for the bride! How cool is that? One party of groomsmen and a champagne filled group of bridesmaids all delivered to the church on time. Congratulations to the happy couple and all the best for the future from us.
Congratulations Carolyn & Jonny!
The rain held off for a picturesque drive to the Church in Settle today, where Carolyn and Jonny tied the knot. Congratulations! We particularly enjoyed watching the locals lock you into the churchyard and make you pay to get out! Apparently a Yorkshire tradition :)
Vintage Wedding Photoshoot
Today we had a fun photoshoot with Sparkerphotography. Below are just a few of Steven's photos. We LOVE them. Be sure to check out his website where you can see more of his work and book him for your very own photos! The location of the shoot was Jolly Days Luxury Camping near Stamford Bridge and the vintage wedding dresses featured are from Glory Days Vintage in York.
Next stop... Belgium!
All our winter maintenance will hopefully pay off next month, when we take Ocho for his MOT, and ultimately, on our next adventure. Iain and Ocho have already visited Belgium without me, sampling moules marinere and an abundance of beers! This year's adventure will be to Belgium, with a little side-step into Holland. Hopefully my presence won't affect the amount of tasty Belgian beers Iain brings back!
New Year, new gearbox...
Iain and Ocho have been very busy this month, getting ready for a new year of weddings and adventures! A new gearbox has been fitted, giving Ocho a quieter engine and creating a smoother, faster ride - perfect for getting brides to the church on time! A quick test drive followed and Ocho was much admired as he drove through York.
We have received lots of wedding bookings already this year, and even one booking for 2013! Our next job will be to get Ocho sparkly clean, as he is meeting some couples soon. Do get in touch if you would like to see the camper before your big day.
Congratulations Verity & Tom
On Saturday Ocho carried Verity to her groom Tom in style! A devoted bridesmaid was on hand to decorate Ocho in coloured ribbons which we think look fantastic, and the camper was a great talking point amongst the guests. Congratulations to the happy couple, we hope you enjoy your honeymoon! A few pics below...
Award winning line up at Dub Odyssey
31st July saw the Dub Odyssey VW show taking over Hootan Lodge near Mexborough. Ocho was there to take full advantage of the cracking weather and what a great show it turned out to be! 6 splitscreen buses from the RULE club entered the show and shine including Ocho, and we won the best club line up trophy. Nice one chaps!
One man and his campervan leads us to Malham
Not too long ago BBC2 were showing a programme called "One man and his campervan" featuring Martin Dorey and his bay window campervan called "Gordy". The basic gist of the programme was that Martin and Gordy travelled around the UK visiting fantastic campsites and cooking locally sourced and foraged food. One of the episodes featured Goredale Scar campsite in Malham where Martin cooked up some Yorkshire Chorizo! The campsite looked stunning, so we took Ocho out there to see for ourselves.Info about "One man and his campervan" here.
